Inventory and research the chemical and pharmaceutical collection to identify hazardous chemicals and obtain intellectual control over the collection

FBI Art Crime Team
Conducted 20+ hours of database and records research on objects within the collection to provide further contextualization, as well as 30+ hours of work rehousing cultural items for shipping to foreign nations and descendant communities throughout North America. I co-led and organized teams to rehouse and prepare ancestors, funerary, and sacred items for repatriation to descendant communities.

Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western Art
Completed 270+ hours of work safely handling, storing, and rehousing accessioned items and loans according to museum best practices to maintain secure storage of the museum’s art collection. I utilized the museum collections database, The Museum System (TMS) to update and edit accession records and assisted in the installation and deinstallation of museum objects to create space for new galleries and to return loans in an ordered and safe manner.

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
Assisted with The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis’ ongoing NAGPRA repatriation process and assembled a database on kachina’s within the collection to assist with ongoing NAGPRA process. In consultation with the collections manager and referencing accession material, I noted descriptions, authenticity, dates, and the creator to help determine the need for and process of repatriation.

Perkins Collection NAGPRA Review
Logan Museum of Anthropology, Beloit College
Transcribed descriptions of burial, grave, or effigy mound finds from Frederick S. Perkins’s written ledger and cross-referenced those descriptions with Perkins’s catalogue and the Logan Museum of Anthropology catalogue in the Re:discovery Proficio database to compile an accurate list of items within the collection. This information was used by the LMA and other local museums to identify objects for repatriation.

Lead tours for museum visitors, facilitating an exploration of the historic laboratory and helping to make connections between the discoveries of the past and the importance of medicine today.

Utilized evaluation methods including survey, observation, interview, and tracking to evaluate family learning and behaviors within gallery spaces. I coded and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data to produce a section of the summative report on the Malala addition to the Power of Children gallery.

Teaching assistant for the Collections Care and Management, Community Collaboration and Curation, and Internship courses, serving as a primary contact for students, leading hands-on labs, mini-workshops, and teaching select topics. Helped facilitate collaborative projects with community partners including the Indiana Medical History Museum, the Eiteljorg Museum, Eagle Creek Ornithology Center, and the Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture and Lifeways.

Created an interactive element proposal leading to its production and use in the Spring 2023 exhibit. As a team, we utilized the museum’s mission, exhibit goals, and an awareness of the visitor experience to complement and enhance the exploration of exhibit objects.

Summer Camp Counselor
Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, Indiana-Kentucky Synod
Created and led daily hands-on, quiet time, game, and mealtime activities for children and supervised a cabin of 5-10 campers (ages 6-18) for week-long intervals over the course of two summers, fostering an engaging and inclusive atmosphere for all. I supported camp directors in upholding the schedule, coordinating counselors, and addressing issues as they arose at an ACA accredited camp.
